LEGO Art Classes for Kids This Summer at WAC

The Westport Arts Center is excited to announce a new roster for 2015 Summer Camps. This summer, the Arts Center will offer a special Summer-Kickoff week for pre-k and kindergarten students and children with special needs in June, followed by nine weeks of themed fine arts camps for children ages 6 – 12. Many of the Arts Center’s most popular camps, including FUNdamentals & Foundations and LEGO art, have returned with all-new projects. New themed camps offered include CreatureMania, Fun & Games and Petite Picassos. Campers will draw inspiration from everywhere -- from the beach to outer space -- using a variety of materials including LEGOs, clay, paint and experimental materials.

Summer camps will be lead by the Arts Center’s Education Fellow Rebecca Brown. Camp has always been an important part of Rebecca’s life. She reflects, “I have always had a great experience at the many camps that I went to growing up. They shaped who I am in a safe, fun, and caring environment. Camp allowed me to explore my creative abilities. I hope to make my campers experiences as fulfilling as my own.”

Summer camp registration opens for WAC members on Monday, February 2nd. Registration opens to non-members on Monday, February 9th. Anyone can become a member when they call to register. Visit www.westportartscenter.org or call 203.222.7070 to register!
