Patricia Riemersma Named CEO of Westport Weston Family YMCA

The volunteer members of the Westport Weston Family YMCA’s governing Board of Directors have unanimously approved the Executive Search Committee’s selection of Patricia Riemersma as Chief Executive Officer.
 
Riemersma has enthusiastically accepted the position. Her first day in her new role as the Family YMCA’s CEO will be Monday, June 8.
 
“We wholeheartedly welcome Patricia to our Family YMCA,” said Bonnie Strittmatter, President of the Board of Directors. “We also thank the members of our Search Committee for their months-long effort to seek out an outstanding list of candidates.”
 
“Pat Riemersma impressed us all with her decades of experience in leadership roles in the YMCA Movement around the country and with her vision to build on our Family YMCA’s foundation to ensure a secure and vibrant future for this center of community life and all the members we are proud to serve.”
 
Riemersma has served at the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities since 2011. As Vice President of Youth Development since 2013, she has provided leadership of the Twin Cities’ Early Learning and Child Care programs, which serve 5,900 children daily. She also supervises a team of 10 program directors of the association’s day camp programs, which served 23,400 youth in 2014. She has been accountable for a combined operating budget of $34 million within the $112 million association.
