CCNS to Host Fun Runs & Family Fun Day, Sept. 27

The Community Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) will hold its second annual CCNS Fun Run and Family Day on September 27. This event is dedicated to fitness and fun for the whole family with three different races in beautiful, scenic Rowayton followed by a fall Family Fun Day at Bayley Beach.

The day begins at 8:15 AM with a 100-Yard Dash for the littlest athletes, followed at 8:30 AM by a 1-Mile Run that families can walk or run together.  The races culminate at 9 AM with a stroller-friendly, chip-timed 5K Race that will bring runners through one of the most beautiful routes in the area.

Once the races are complete, CCNS will host a fall Family Fun Day with food trucks, face painting, balloon animals, an inflatable obstacle course, a dunk tank, games, prizes, and more.

This fundraiser benefits Rowayton’s own Community Cooperative Nursery School, a 501c3 organization.  And a portion of the participants’ fundraising will benefit Girls on the Run of Fairfield County, an affiliate of the New Canaan Y.

Participants can easily create their own sponsorship website to enable friends and family to support their race efforts on ccnsct.org/fun-run. Registration fees will we waived for participants raising a minimum of $15 for the 100-Yard Dash, $20 for the 1-mile Family Fun Run and $50 for the 5K Race.

Organizations that have signed on early to support the CCNS Fun Run include Fairfield County Bank, Bowl-Mor, GoGo Squeeze, Bitsy’s Brainfood and Fleet Feet Sports of Stamford.
