"Idle Threat" Film Screening at Earthplace, Feb. 11

Westport, CT - On Thursday, February 11, beginning with a reception at 6:30pm, Earthplace Nature Discovery Center, at 10 Woodside Lane, will host a screening and Q&A of "Idle Threat", about the dilemma of air pollution.

Description: As part of its Environmental Learning Series, Earthplace will show this documentary about one man’s determination to reduce air pollution in his neighborhood and combat global climate change. This film documents the challenges and triumphs of his campaign to confront New York City’s lax enforcement of curbside engine idling laws. Reception at 6:30pm, 7:00pm screening and Q&A with Jim Marpe, Westport First Selectman; Eileen Lavigne Flug, Westport RTM Moderator and a local expert. The Environmental Learning Series is co-sponsored by Earthplace and the Westport Green Task Force. Supported by Catamount Wealth Management.
