Downtown Bridgeport Hackathon: Sept. 30-Oct. 2

Bridgeport, CT -- The Bridgeport DSSD has partnered with the Connecticut Main Street Center, Stamford iCenter, Bridgeport Public Library, and B:Hive Bridgeport to produce the Downtown Bridgeport Hackathon. The DSSD invites you to join developers, designers, creatives and techies from Downtown Bridgeport’s tech scene, the University of Bridgeport, Housatonic Community College, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart and others for the first community hackathon in Downtown Bridgeport!

The Bridgeport Hackathon will take place over the weekend of September 30 - October 2 at the Downtown Branch of the Bridgeport Public Library at 925 Broad Street. To purchase tickets and register on-line www.eventbrite.com/e/bridgeport-hackathon-tickets-27481238123.

The Stamford iCenter has created the agenda for the Hackathon that will focus on Smart City Challenges. According to Hugh Seaton of the iCenter, “We'll have Smart Cities Challenges featuring a fantastic array of Application Program Interfaces, Data, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality challenges and some great gear to work with. Come support your tech community, join us for this weekend and be the first to win the Bridgeport Hackathon!”

This event is part of the Northeast Hackathon Series, so participants will get to see how hackers at the Stamford Hackathon did, and their ideas will be presented to future Hackathons in New Haven, New London and Providence.
