Pantochino Seeks Teen Actors for "Starmites" Musical

Milford, CT -- Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc, Milford’s professional not-for-profit theatre company, is currently accepting registration for it's Teen Theatre production of “Starmites" to be performed in late February 2017.

Pantochino Teen Theatre is designed to give young actors, ages 12 to 18, the opportunity to learn and work with theatre professionals in creating a fully realized musical production. The immersive theatrical experience is under the direction of Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer with musical direction by Justin Rugg.

“Starmites” is an out-of-this-world high energy adventure fantasy where a shy teenager creates a world of heroes and villains who discover love, loyalty and inner strength in outer space. The show, by Barry Keating and Stuart Ross, features a powerhouse score and was a Tony nominee for Best Musical in 1989. Pantochino will perform the “lite’ version of the musical, slightly abridged from its original form.

Pantochino Teen Theatre rehearsals take place on Saturdays in January and February, and are held at Pantochino Studios in the former St. Ann School on Ridge Street in Milford. Performances on February 25th and 26th, take place at the Center for the Arts in Downtown Milford.

“Teen Theatre is our fastest-growing program,” said Bernardi. “Following our summer production of 'Into the Woods Jr.', we have already registered twenty participants for 'Starmites' and only ten spots remain," he added. Every young actor who registers gets a part in the show.

Pantochino Teen Theater is a tuition-based program. There are no registration fees, advertising commitments or hidden costs. Those interested must register before December 1st. More information and registration forms are available online at www.pantochino.com or call Pantochino at 203-937-6206.
