Westport, CT -- A chance to own a piece of Westport's artist colony history begins Friday, Dec. 16! Approximately 30 paintings and sketches by local artist Hardie Gramatky will be available for purchase through Everything But The House online auction

Hardie was named by the renown artist Andrew Wyeth as one of America's 20 most accomplished watercolorists. Many of his works are beautiful depictions of Westport sites and waterscapes and he was also the creator of the beloved children's book character 'Little Toot'. Bidding goes live tomorrow, at ebth.com and runs through Dec. 22.

Hardie's daughter, Linda Gramatky Smith, along with her husband, Ken, are being honored for their support of the arts and the community by Westport Historical Society and the Westport Arts Council. See the exhibit in the Sheffer Gallery of the many, storied local artists as well. Questions about the Gramatky auction should be directed to Betsy Wacker at 203-722-4191.
