Westport, CT - Westport Historical Society will present three fun-filled days on February 21, 22 and 23 during vacation week relating to Presidents’ Day for children ages 6-11. Join WHS for one, two or all three days.
Nicole Carpenter, WHS Education Director, says, “This holiday program is a great opportunity for kids to explore history in imaginative ways; examining artifacts, playing old fashioned games, and creating objects that are fun and enjoyable to learn and play with.”
WHS is pleased to offer these interactive and engaging programs to explore local and national history with hands-on crafts, games, and special guests who are sure to bring smiles to everyone. Themed snacks will be made each day. Based on the legacy of our famous presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, we will design our own dollar bill and put our face on it, rub quarters, create a stovepipe hat, and build our very own log cabin out of pretzels and nut butter!
