Fairfield Guitarist Glenn Roth at Carriage Barn Reception Sat. Feb. 11. 4-6pm

New Canaan, CT - On February 11, at the Carriage Barn Arts Center located at Waveny Park, 681 South Ave, New Canaan, Glenn Roth will be performing at the opening reception of the ART X 8: VISIONS & REVELATIONS exhibit, featuring eight award-winning artists showing 100+ WORKS. The reception is on Saturday February 11 from 4-6pm. Glenn will be playing from 4:15 to 5:15. The exhibition continues Sunday February 12, 1pm-5pm and Wednesday February 15, 16 & 17 from 10am to 3pm.

Trace Burroughs, curator of the show, is also a singer and has performed with Glenn. “His playing is amazing and delights audiences wherever he plays," said Burroughs about Roth.

Roth’s compositions suggest multiple guitars, but it’s really just one man performing. The elegant and beautiful virtuosity he applies to one instrument is amazing. His songs suggest moods and narratives that compel the listener to fill in the details.

He has released five CDs to date: Innovations (2005), Busker (2006), Into the Unknown (2010), Welcome Home (2016), and a holiday CD. His original compositions have been hailed as “sheer virtuosity” and “delicate, accomplished solo acoustic guitar work” www.glennroth.com

Glenn has shared bills with Stephen Bennett, Monty Montgomery, Tuck & Patti, Bucky Pizzarelli, Carl Verheyen, Don Ross, Antoine Dufour, and Vicky Genfan, among others.

He plays regularly throughout the northeast and tours nationally & internationally to bring his music to new fans and locales.
