Darien Resident Steve Mernick Joins KEYS Board

KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), which provides free music instrument instruction to Bridgeport, CT students, welcomes Darien resident Steve Mernick to the KEYS Board of Directors.  Steve worked for Bank of America for 37 years in a variety of positions and responsibilities including client management, loan syndications, leveraged finance and risk management positions in the energy, healthcare, autos and airline industries.  He was also responsible for the bank’s Europe, Middle East and Africa portfolio as the Senior Corporate Risk Officer in London from 2002-2005. 

Steve currently volunteers in the Bridgeport school system in a first grade reading program, as a mentor and tutor for fifth grade students, and through KEYS, as a piano instructor at Bassick HS.  Steve is also a Board Member (Vice President) of the Rowayton Arts Center, a provider of art classes for adults and children and exhibitor of art for local artists. 

Steve has a BA from Union College and an MBA in Finance from Boston College. He and his wife, Ana, reside in Darien.  KEYS is excited to have Steve Mernick as our newest Board member.
