Trumbull, CT - The Kennedy Center, headquartered in Trumbull, recently announced the election of four new officers and six new board members.
The following incoming officers are serving on the Board of Directors: Michele Macauda of Monroe, Chair, retired from AT&T as the Senior Vice President for Business & Network Solutions IT; Brian Csizmadia of Trumbull, Vice Chair, Director of Human Resources at Aquarion Water Company; Peter Gavey of Fairfield, Treasurer, a general partner with Goodnow Investment Group, LLC; and Mary Brown of Bridgeport, Secretary, who is a retired Bridgeport Central High School mathematics teacher.
Six area professionals starting new three-year board terms include: Paul Broadie II, Ph.D, of Orange, President of Housatonic Community College; Mark Herron of Fairfield, Corporate Chief Marketing Officer at People’s United Bank; Karen Guckert Kaiser of Fairfield, Director of Development at the Egan School of Nursing Health Studies at Fairfield University, Michael LaVelle, Esq. of Fairfield, a partner in the law firm of Pullman & Comley, LLC, Leah Palmer of Trumbull, a consumer of The Kennedy Center since 1994, and Robert D. Scinto of Fairfield, Chairman of R.D. Scinto, Inc.
The Kennedy Center, founded in 1951, is an internationally accredited, non-profit, community-based rehabilitation organization that currently serves 2,000 individuals annually. The agency actively responds to the needs of the community by offering innovative, comprehensive service options to persons with disabilities and special needs, from birth to senior years. The Kennedy Center operates 30 community experience programs, 16 group homes, an industries program composed of six businesses, supported and competitive employment and job placement services, a family support and respite service, travel training, and a variety of children’s programs.
