Fairfield, CT -- As part of the Bigelow Senior Center's intergenerational programming, the Fairfield Aces model airplane group will host a "Build-a-Plane-Day" for students age 10 + on Saturday morning October 29 from 10am - 1pm.
Cadets will build a rubber-powered "stick and tissue" flying model plane with assistance. Free kits are supplied and safe glues are used.
After construction, the students will fly their planes in the gym, and take their planes home. There will be a "mini-airshow" demonstrating several types of planes.
The Bigelow Center for Senior Activities is located at 100 Mona Terrace, Fairfield. Parents are asked to remain with students and they must sign a permission form prior to the start of the class.
The activity is limited to 15 participants.
