Assistive Technology: Tools to Level the Playing Field for Students with LD

Westport, CT -- An Assistive Technology (AT) device can compensate for a student’s weaknesses, making it possible for a student with LD to perform at an age- and grade-appropriate level. With so many options available today, where do you start?

Head to the Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road, Westport on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm where Shelley Lacey-Castelot, an expert in the use of AT for students with learning disabilities, will discuss both high-tech and low-tech options. She will also explore how to turn your smartphone or tablet into a powerful learning aid for students at all levels.

Shelley Lacey-Castelot, ATACP, MS, is the Director of Literacy Solutions, providing evaluations and instructional design for reading, writing, and math AT use at home and at school. A former teacher, Ms. Lacey-Castelot is a certified reading and language arts consultant as well as holding an ATACP certificate in assistive technology.
