Downtown Cabaret Presents "Spring Awakening"

Bridgeport, CT -- The Downtown Cabaret Theatre’s Main Stage Theatre division continues its 2016/2017 season with SPRING AWAKENING. The production runs: March 10 - April 2, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 5:00pm & 8:15pm and Sundays at 5:00pm. The production continues the 41st season of the Downtown Cabaret Theatre organization, led by Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan. 

The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, "Spring Awakening" explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable, through “the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade” (Entertainment Weekly). The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock & roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years.

The cast includes Zachary Anderson, Steve Autore, Avery Bebon, Arielle Boutin, James Canal, Joe Cardozo, Matthew Casey, Chelsea Dacey, Lisa DeAngelis, Josh Hahn, Dave Jackins, Mark Joy, Sahai Lara, Robie Livingstone, Michael Major, Lynette Marshall, Colin McLevy, Jessica Mount, Robert Peterpaul, Claire Regan, Eric Regan, Madeleine Tommins, Kaylin Weller, and Garth West.

The production will feature Direction by Julie Bell Petrak, Choreography by Emily Frangipane, Musical Direction by Eli Newsom, Vocal Direction by Brian Crook, Scenic Design by William Stark, Projection Design by Costume Design by Christy Newsom, Lighting Design by Phill Hill, Projection Design by Mat Young & Don Rowe, and Sound Design by Chris Gensur.
