Improvisational Theater Workshop at Bigelow Center, April 26

Fairfield, CT - The Bigelow Center for Senior Activities welcomes seniors to share their stories with Writer, Director and Comedian Barry Halpin of Fairfield on Wednesday, April 26th at 10:30 a.m. in the dining hall. Barry Halpin was a writer, director and performer for the Los Angeles based comedy group, Constant Comedy, and has directed improv theater groups and taught improvisational comedy for over 30 years. He was the director of Slow Children At Play, the resident improvisational comedy group at The Stamford Center for the Arts from 2000-2006.

Halpin has appeared on Lifetime Television, CNN, PBS, WTNH-Channel 8, WPIX-Channel 11 and Cablevision News 12. He has written screenplays for Warner Bros. and Abba Productions, plays, magazine and newspaper articles, and comedy material for several well-known comics. He wrote the Musings and Observations column for the Darien News from 2009-2014 and the Dad's-Eye View and Healthy Perspectives columns in the Stamford Advocate/Greenwich Time from 2002-2009.
