Two Events at Stamford Downtown Farmers Market Sat. June 24

STAMFORD CT, June 20, 2017 – This Saturday, June 24, 9am-3pm, at the Stamford Downtown Farmers Market set up at Prospect Street at Latham Park (Bedford Street), there will be two special events: 

- Wellness Under the Sun will lead a Zumba Class at 9:30am, then BOOT Camp at 10:30am. The classes are free and run on the following Saturdays: 

July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5 & August 12. It’s never too late to start a fitness regimen!

Then, at 1pm, the Market is hosting its first CHESS DAY. From 1-3pm, members of The National Educational Chess Association will be on hand to play chess and even help you perfect your moves! 

It’s a great place to play with some experts and get some tips on strategizing.

And, while you are there, you can shop for the freshest fruits, vegetables, plants, baked goods, olives, handmade soaps and more! The Stamford Downtown Farmers Market happens Saturdays on Prospect Street at Latham Park (Bedford Street) from 9am to 3pm from now until October 28, 2017

NEW THIS YEAR: The Stamford Downtown Farmers market will be accepting SNAP/EBT cards for payment, allowing everyone access to healthy food options.
