Girl Scout Badge Day at CT Audubon Fairfield Center, Oct. 21

Fairfield, CT - On Saturday, October 21, the Connecticut Audubon Society, Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, will host -- between 9 a.m. and noon -- Girl Scout Badge Day.

$14 per scout, per badge

Programs for Brownie, Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts will be “going green” and working on nature-themed badges at The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Girl Scout Badge Day, Saturday morning October 17, in Fairfield. Which trail should we follow? Whooo do you see? What’s under that rock? What tree is this? Teacher-naturalist staff will answer these questions and more as they lead explorations through the diverse wildlife habitats of the Larsen Sanctuary while satisfying some of the requirements for the Brownie Bugs, Brownie Hiker, Junior Animal Habitats and Cadette Trees badges.

The workshop start times and lengths vary by scout group and badge. The cost is $14 per scout; $2 per accompanying adult. Programs take place at The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street in Fairfield and are open to troops, or individual scouts with an adult. Space is limited; pre-registration is required by October 4 on the Girl Scout website at www.gsofct.org; look for the “Programming and Training Registration Area.”
