SHU Professor Shares Small Business Expertise

FAIRFIELD, Conn.—Professor Perry Beaumont, adjunct professor of economics and finance at Sacred Heart University, recently participated in a national survey at the request of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The purpose was to provide information about the special needs and characteristics of small business in the United States.  “It was a pleasure to serve as a volunteer and assist the FRB of New York with this important program,” said Beaumont. “I’m pleased to have been asked to participate.”

In addition to publishing books on various business topics, Beaumont is also a successful business executive in the insurance industry and earned a patent related to an innovative quantitative process.

The New York Federal Reserve, in partnership with the 11 other Federal Reserve Banks, periodically conducts surveys to understand the state of small business in the U.S. These surveys are intended to gauge the current business climate, as well as special needs and experiences.
