During this meeting, representatives from the Exide Group, the owners of the property on the Post Road where the cleanup is taking place, and TRC Engineering, the firm that has been conducting the cleanup work on behalf of the Exide Group, will present information regarding work that was completed in 2015 and will give a preview of work planned for 2016. Cindy Cook of Adamant Accord will be facilitating the public meeting. A question and answer period will follow.
In addition to Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau, representatives from the Harbor Commission, Shellfish Commission, Conservation Commission, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), staff from the Town’s Conservation and Public Works Departments and members of the neighborhood group FairPLAN will attend the meeting.
