Town of Fairfield to Host Info Meets on Local Facilities

Fairfield, CT -- The Town of Fairfield will hold two Public Informational Meetings on Harvest New England Mulch and Brush Operations, the Fairfield Regional Fire School and the Fill and Construction Material Recycling all of which are located at Richard White Way, formerly One Rod Highway.

The first public informational meeting, which will focus on Harvest New England and the Fairfield Regional Fire School, will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the APR/Cafeteria at Roger Sherman Elementary School, 250 Fern Street, Fairfield.

The second public informational meeting, which will focus on the Fill and Construction Material Recycling, will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the APR/Cafeteria at Roger Sherman Elementary School, 250 Fern Street, Fairfield.

Fire Selectman Mike Tetreau will be joined by various town officials and Harvest New England representatives to discuss the scheduling and programming of operations at all three facilities and how the Town can work with residents to provide screening and improve aesthetics.

Residents are encouraged to attend both meetings and bring questions and comments to help the Town lessen the impact that these vital facilities may have on the surrounding neighborhood.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “The meetings are intended to establish a good communication process between the Town and the residents living in the vicinity of these facilities. The Town is committed to being a good neighbor by listening to our residents and working with them to make adjustments so that operations will be less disruptive to the neighborhood.”
