Fairfield Selectmen Conduct Annual Fairfielder & Town Employee of the Year Awards

Fairfield, CT - The Fairfield Board of Selectmen is conducting its 14th annual Fairfielder and Town Employee of the Year Awards. Any member of the public, including town and school employees, is encouraged to submit nominations for either or both awards by 12 pm on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Nomination criteria, lists of previous winners, and nomination forms can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/bosawards or by contacting the First Selectman’s Office at 203-256-3095. Please note that nominations can be submitted online.

The Board of Selectmen will present awards at one of its meetings in December to two outstanding individuals—one Fairfield resident and one Town employee. The winners’ names will be added to a plaque which lists the names of all previous winners and the year they received their award. The plaque hangs in the entryway of Independence Hall on the Burr Homestead side.

Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “Once again, the nominations for the annual Fairfielder and Employee of the Year awards are upon us. I encourage everyone in our community to nominate one or more individual who is deserving of these special honors. Our Town is very fortunate to have devoted employees and countless residents who go above and beyond to give back to our community and make a positive impact.”
