Fairfield LWV 2017 Voters Guide Goes Online Oct. 12

Fairfield, CT - The annual League of Women Voters of Fairfield 2017 Voters’ Guide will be released on Thursday, October 12. This year, due to rising costs of publication in local newspapers, the Voters’ Guide will be available online only. And it is simple to find and use.

To view the 2017 Voters Guide, simply go to VOTE411.org

Once there, fill in your address, press Enter, and Vote 411 will lead you to the second screen.

Click on the green strip in the center of the second screen and you move immediately to the Fairfield’s 2017 Voters’ Guide. There you will find information on all the races in this year’s municipal elections.

In addition, as has been traditional for 50 years, candidates in each Board race have been asked the same questions designed by the League to provide insight into their qualifications and outlook and approach towards problems and issues facing Fairfield.

If you wish, you can select the candidates you want to vote for and print out a record of your choices—a helpful tool for marking your actual ballot on Election Day.

The League of Women Voters of Fairfield encourages all citizens to go to the polls on Election Day, November 7. Local elections are critically important. Local elected officials are the ones who decide the local laws, policies, and budgets that affect us the most.

If you are interested in further information about Who Can Vote, How to Register, Connecticut Political Parties, Connecticut Polling Place, please check out votect.net., provided by the League of Women Voters of Connecticut.

If you have any questions about the Fairfield League, please e-mail the League at lwvfairfield@lwvct.org.
