Fairfield Police Seek Suspect in Overnight Burglary

The Fairfield Police Department is investigating a middle-of-the-night burglary and assault that occurred on Berkeley Road at approximately 3:00 am Monday, September 1, and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the subject responsible.

According to police, a woman reported a subject entered her home at approximately 3am Monday morning, and assaulted her before fleeing. She described him as a short, stocky male, in his 20’s, approximately 5’2” – 5’6”, with dark spiky hair, and what were described as light colored eyes. She believed he had some facial acne, and spoke with a Spanish accent. She did not see or hear a vehicle leave the scene.

Berkeley Road is located in the southeast section of town near Tunxis Hill Park.

No information, however seemingly insignificant it may seem, should be overlooked.
