Click It or Ticket: Nov. 25-30th

With the 2014 holiday season fast approaching, the Fairfield Police Department and Connecticut’s other law enforcement agencies intend to promote safe driving and increase the protection of all motorists. Law enforcement officials are out on the road enforcing the State occupant protection laws and issuing citations to those who are unbuckled.

The “Click it or Ticket” campaign will be a one week period of high visibility seatbelt enforcement, both day and night, beginning November 25th through November 30th, 2014.

It is the goal of the Fairfield Police Department that campaigns such as this will remind drivers that not only do seatbelts protect vehicle occupants, but that wearing a seatbelt is also the law.

Statistics show that the use of a seatbelt can reduce the risk of serious physical injuries or death in a motor vehicle accident by at least 50%. The phrase “Seatbelts Save Lives” is not merely a slogan, but a fact.

Please help the Fairfield Police Department keep our roadways safe during its Thanksgiving holiday campaign.

“No Excuses. Buckle Up… It’s the Law. It’s Enforced.”
