The Town of Fairfield is holding its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, August 29 at Veterans Park on Reef Road from 9 am to 2 pm.
Please visit the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection web page, http://www.fairfieldct.org/hazwaste, for a list of acceptable (and unacceptable) materials.
Since May 1990, the towns and cities which are members of HazWaste Central have disposed of and recycled more than 1,000,000 gallons of hazardous waste.
On Saturday. the Town of Fairfield will need volunteers from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Volunteers will not be handling any hazardous waste.
