Two things that do not seem like a match – books and messy food – are coming together next Sunday when Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ in downtown Hartford holds a grand opening celebration to benefit the Hartford Public Library.
20% of proceeds from all the “wood-smoked, Kansas City-style barbeque” ordered between 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on September 7 will go to the Library. Bear’s opened at 89 Arch Street in July; their original location is in Windsor.
