Wednesday: New Year

At sundown tonight, Rosh Hashanah, or the Jewish New Year, begins. (It's 5775.) You don’t have to be Jewish to appreciate the idea of a fresh start in the fall, or to enjoy the traditional seasonal foods associated with this holiday, like apples and honey. Thursday: Hog River Roast

Business for Downtown Hartford is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a pig roast in State House Square. The event, which starts at 5:00 p.m., features live music, beer, and…pig. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.com

Friday: Pipes in the Valley Happy Hour

Get ready for tomorrow’s Celtic festival tonight, with drinks and music at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza starting at 4:00 p.m. 

Saturday: HoodgePodge

If you missed Hartford HodgePodge last weekend, it’s back again today, and every Saturday until October 18. The outdoor market is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in State House Square.

Sunday: Boogie Down Benefit

Enjoy music, food, and drinks Black Eyed Sally’s today and help benefit HartBeat Ensemble.
