Do you have a formal dress you're not planning on wearing again? Nonprofit organization Princess and the Prom, founded to "provide free prom dresses to any Connecticut high school girl who otherwise may not be able to afford one" is looking for donations of dresses in all colors and sizes. (Ideally they would like recent dresses in excellent condition.) You can bring your gown to Best Cleaners locations across central Connecticut.
The dresses will be given away on March 27 - 29 at the Gown Giveaway Event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Windsor. Proof of financial need is not required, just a valid high school photo ID and a pre-registration ticket. Registration for the event begins on March 7 on princessandtheprom.org.
