Two MINI Coopers rolled into the Hartford Public School Welcome Center on December 23rd stuffed with over 100 winter coats and other items donated during the 3rd Annual “Stuff the MINI to the Max” campaign.New and gently used coats, mittens, boots, hats, and blankets for children ranging from pre-K through high school were collected at the dealership’s Hartford showroom throughout December. New Country MINI also took the show on the road and accepted donations at Cabela’s in East Hartford, West Hartford Center, and Somerset Square in Glastonbury. Additionally, the dealership partnered with residents of The Grand on Ann apartment complex in Hartford for a community collection on December 20th.

“Thanks to generous donations and the kind retailers who allowed us to park a MINI at their businesses, many children will be warmer this winter,” said Sam Herman, Sales Manager of New Country MINI. “We consider it our pleasure and responsibility as a Hartford-based business to help local kids whenever possible.”

Interim Hartford Public School Superintendent Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez and other officials were on hand to personally thank the New Country MINI representatives when they dropped off the clothing.

“We are so grateful to New Country for once again holding this collection for us,” said Marta Bentham, Director of Family Services and Ombudsman of Hartford Public Schools’ Welcome Center.  “We were able to immediately outfit children with much-needed clothing just in time for the holidays.”
