Westchester Food Facility Receives Donation

Storage Post recently donated two large storage units at its Pelham location to County Harvest, a non-profit food rescue organization. County Harvest was chosen as this year's Feed4More food donation recipient by Whole Foods' Westchester County stores.

The donated units were used to sort food donations and prepare them for distribution in Westchester County, New York. The donations are the result of Whole Foods' program, Feed4More, which collects donations at Whole Foods registers and uses 100 percent of the funds to purchase food for local areas in need. This year's donations amounted to 720 cases of organic unsweetened applesauce and 1,470 cases of organic rustic vegetable soup, which County Harvest will take to soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters.

"We are committed to partnering with organizations like County Harvest to help the communities we serve. If our neighborhoods are happy and healthy, it positively affects our employees, our customers and our business," said Amanda Wethington, Storage Post manager of marketing programs. "Essential programs like the ones County Harvest and Whole Foods coordinate provide a strong backbone of fellowship and support, and we are proud to be a part of it."

The goal of Storage Post's philanthropy program is to support local neighborhoods by enriching the community, promoting education and caring for the environment. To learn more about partnering with Storage Post in a charitable endeavor, visitwww.storagepost.com/philanthropy.
