Light the Night Walk is THIS Weekend!

 

Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in nearly two hundred communities each fall across North America.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere. And it’s all happening now. Not someday, today.

Funds raised through The Light The Night Walk:

• Fund breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients.
• Provides Free educational materials, support programs and events.
• Powers advocacy to ensure access to treatments.
• Helps provide personalized assistance through our Information Resource Center.

Light The Night Walks are people coming together to inspire, motivate and take an active role in finding cures.

During these evening leisurely walks, Champions For Cures carry illuminated lanterns - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to a blood cancer.

There are now some blood cancers that can be controlled with just a pill a day. Advancements like these were unheard of just 25 years ago. But thanks to campaigns like Light The Night thousands of lives are being saved not someday, but today.
