Where the Pavement Ends kicks off at 8 am on Sunday, September 20, at the ballfields near Lake Windwing in Ridgefield. The 4.4-mile trail race, now in its fourth year, will attract some 150 runners who will wind their way through the wooded trails in northern Ridgefield.
This year the race is the third leg of a six-leg series call The Trail Mix--a partnership of area races, meant to add competitive spirit to trail racing and to bring together races in Fairfield County and Westchester County. Pavement Ends is organized by those who bring you TriRidgefield, the premier sprint-distance triathlon approaching its tenth year. Take to the woods. It's invigorating.
