Barn Sale Chappaqua’s First Congregational Church on May 5

Barn Sale 2017 is Coming with the Return of Our “Free Day”

Springtime is here and the 66th Barn Sale is right around the corner. This year, the Barn Sale will begin on Friday May 5. Year after year, people look forward to visiting Chappaqua’s First Congregational Church for the annual Barn Sale where you can find top quality merchandise at low prices. Back by popular demand, the entire Barn Sale will take place over two days! This means that rather than waiting for the third and fourth day for deep discount sales, shoppers can take advantage of 50% off most merchandise on the second day of the sale, Saturday May 6.

Barbara Cardone, Barn Sale Manager and church member, said “These days most people don’t have several days to invest in shopping for these great deals. We listened to our hundreds of loyal shoppers. Now people can come back the very next day to find those
half-priced items. And, much of the merchandise that has not been sold by the end of the second day will be available for free on Sunday! All we ask is that people remember that this is a fundraiser for our church, and that they consider making a small donation in exchange for their item(s).”

The Barn Sale will be held at the First Congregational Church at 210 Orchard Ridge Road at Route 117 in Chappaqua, B-Line Bus Route 19.

The dates and times for this year’s Barn Sale are:

  •       Friday, May 5       9 am to 8 pm
  •       Saturday, May 6  9 am to 2 pm
  •       Sunday, May 7     Noon to 2 pm – FREE DAY (Bring your own bags)

The Barn Sale began over 65 years ago in a church member’s barn and has grown over the years to become “Westchester County’s largest tag sale.” Those who have shopped at the Barn Sale, know it is a goldmine of higher quality donated or consigned items as well as new merchandise donated by local merchants and for sale at amazing prices. Shoppers will find everything from men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories, to sporting goods and linens, small appliances and furniture, fine jewelry, and antiques and collectibles.

Looking to clean out your own attic? Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday April 24 to 28 from 9:30 am to 3 pm, on Saturday April 29 from 10 am to 4 pm, on Sunday April 30 from 12 to 4 pm, as well as on the public consignment days: Monday, May 1 through Wednesday May 3 from 9:30 am to 2 pm and 6 to 8 pm.

Consignment items are welcome (there is a $20 minimum per item and it is a 50% -50% consignment) on May 1-3 at the times listed above.

Come help yourself to some bargains while helping our church support others in need in our community and around the world. For additional information, please call the church office at (914) 238-4411 or visit www.fcc-chappaqua.org.
