“I have been going to the Bedford Playhouse since before I can remember”, Ms. Close has stated. “I have vivid memories of cartoons and newsreels. I can't think of anything more wonderful for our entire community and beyond than a neighborhood Playhouse where we can gather and enjoy the kinds of films that we all long to see--films that really speak to us, emotionally and intellectually.” The performances will be preceded by a reception during which artistic renderings and architectural plans for the new Playhouse space will be on display.
