Do you want to be on stage? Are you dying for a moment in the spotlight? Well here’s your chance! The White Plains Performing Arts Center is opening up it’s doors to actors, directors, playwrights, and technicians duringOne Night Stand: A 24-Hour Play Project. Produced by Stage 2 at the White Plains Performing Arts Center, One Night Stand will bring 10-minute plays from conception to performance . . . all within 24 hours!
Artists and community members from the tri-state area are invited to participate in this 24-hour Project. “It is an event in which many of our local community members can take part,” states Ariana Moses, Director of Education at WPPAC. “We want to bring new people together. We hope both theatre regulars and those who haven’t performed since high school will all join in the fun.” Teams of playwrights will work through the night to write original ten-minute scripts. These scripts will be handed off to directors the next morning. White the playwrights sleep, the production teams will put together these plays to be ready for performance by 7pm. The Project is FREE for participants. To get involved, go to the WPPAC’s website,http://wppac.com/shows/onenightstand/ and click the “Get In Bed With Us” link to sign up.
