Two Exhibitions at<a href="http://www.katonahmuseum.org/" target="_blank"> KMA</a> on the Culture of Japan were the spotlight of a <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/21/nyregion/a-review-of-two-exhibitions-in-katonah-on-the-culture-of-japan.html?_r=0" target="_blank">New York Times article</a>&nbsp;on Friday&nbsp;titled "The Scary and the Ornamental".&nbsp;"Lethal Beauty: Samurai Weapons and Armor" on display now through January 4 at KMA&nbsp;features 63 works by master craftsmen from the 13th to 20th centuries and includes five full sets of armor, masks, helmets, and warrior hats.&nbsp;
The author of the New York Times article,&nbsp;Sylviane Gold, said the exhibit evoked&nbsp;inspiring quiet admiration, elemental dread and even an occasional smile.
