With The Harvey Cavalier Camp in Katonah kicking off its six-week session this week, it marks the 20th year children from Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield counties will be enjoying a summer of fun on the sprawling 125-acre campus of The Harvey School.
“We enjoyed one of the smoothest openings I can recall,” said the camp’s founder and director Chris Del Campo. “The kids were all smiles and eager to make the most of their first days of camp,” he said.
The campers, who range in age from 4 to 14 years old, will be exploring their creativity in the fine and performing arts and will also participate in other electives such as science, computers, robotics, gymnastics, tai kwon do, fencing, tennis, basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, field games, swimming and ice skating.
The camp, which runs through Aug. 7, conducts tours during the day for families looking at camp options for the summer of 2016. Those interested in scheduling a tour should call 914-232-0581.
