Rand Scholet, President of the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society, will describe each period of George Washington’s public service, and discuss how seven key Founding Fathers contributed to his success: in addition to Jay and Hamilton, the seven include Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Knox, and Madison. The lecture will be held in the Ballroom at John Jay Homestead State Historic Site at 7:00 P.M., registration and refreshments beginning at 6:15 P.M. and a short reception following the talk. Tickets are $20 for members of Friends of John Jay Homestead and of the AHA Society, and $25 for non-members. Reservations are recommended.
The day is the first event of CelebrateHAMILTON 2016, a week-long series of programs sponsored by the AHA Society, taking place in the New York/Northern New Jersey area and scheduled to coincide with the anniversary of Hamilton’s duel with Aaron Burr, which famously resulted in Hamilton’s death in 1804.
