A Celebration of the Harvest at Pleasantville Farmers Market

Many fall crops are ideal for storing, enabling our farms to offer nutritious, regional items well into winter. One of the ancient methods of storing food is represented in the art of artisan cheese production. The Market has four dairy farms, each with ideal methods, admirable care for their herds, and super products: Chaseholm Farm Creamery, Edgwick Farm, Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse and Kriemhild Dairy Farms (butter and creme fraiche). And Trotta Foods creates fresh mozzarella each week. Eaten as is, or integrated into recipes, these are some of the best dairy products one can find. Saturday try samples and enjoy speaking with the producers to learn of new ways to use their cheeses.

Vendors: Who's In This Week?

In addition to our Weekly Vendors the following Rotation Vendors will be in:

Our interactive Map of the Market displays where all vendors visiting this Saturday are located in the marketplace.

This Week's Phelps Health Tip:

Artisanal Cheeses Can Be A Healthy Dietary Choice

"Authentic artisanal cheeses aid digestion through the presence of enzymes and/or anti-viral MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides). They also contain less salt than processed cheeses, and none of the dyes, preservatives, stabilizers and other unnecessary ingredients found in more conventional cheese products."
