ELQ Industries, Inc. has been awarded a contract with the NYSDOT for paving in the Town of Bedford on Route 121 from Route 22 up to Upper Hook Road, approximately 3.5 miles long. This is a State Road, and the project will be managed by NYSDOT.
Paving will occur during nighttime between the hours of 8:30 PM and 5:30 AM with the possibility of minor daytime operations including clearing and grubbing. Traffic will be maintained using flag people as well as several Portable Variable Message display boards to notify local traffic of the upcoming traffic delays/closures.
ELQ is anticipating starting initial operations including surveying/layout and vegetation clearing by the week of September 22nd with major operations starting roughly the week of October 6th. The current schedule anticipates approximately 5-6 weeks of work on Route 121.
