Harvey Boys Get Road Win on Friday

Harvey’s boys varsity basketball team improved its record to 9-5 Friday with a 62-48 victory over Faith Christian Academy in Poughkeepsie.

The Cavaliers were not sharp coming out of the gate, but they regained their composure and took control of the game. FCA made a run late in the fourth quarter, but the game was mostly a one-sided contest for much of the game.

Harvey received contributions from everyone on their team with 11 of 12 players scoring. Ricky Hicks led the team with 16 points, followed by Sacha Kantor with 10. Mike DePass had a nice game sharing the ball, collecting five assists. Eamon Murphy led the team with six rebounds while contributing five points and three assists to the offense. Jack Mather had five rebounds and chipped in with six points.

Jahri Mosley led Faith Christian Academy in scoring with 16 points. FCA fell to 9-7 on the season.

Harvey will take the weekend off and come back next week and travel to South Kent Wednesday, Jan. 28.
