Weekend Guide October 13-15

Friday the 13th is here...and it is October...all signs are starting to point to Halloween and many of the activities seem to have a spooky theme too!  Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend spent with family and friends.

Music at the Mansion

On Saturday, October 14th at 8pm, head to the mansion in Crawford Park to enjoy music from the Celtic Caribbean fusion band The Gaslight Tinkers. In case you’re not from Rye Brook, the address is  122 North Ridge St., Rye Brook, NY 10573. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Doors will open at 7PM and refreshments will be available at the show, including beer and wine.  Sounds fun!

Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

I’m putting this up early in the guide to encourage you to make reservations for this for a future weekend.  It fills up fast and this weekend is already sold out as is next weekend but there are weekday spots and a few November weekend slots open.  See what I mean? This an amazing experience that kids AND adults love.  “The tri-state area’s biggest, most electrifying fall event returns for 40 delightful nights in 2017!

See more than 7,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated jack o’ lanterns in this elaborate walk-through experience. Meander through an historic, 18th-century riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking display – all made of jack o’ lanterns!

Come gawk at more jack o'lanterns than ever before. Tens of thousands of visitors experienced last year’s Blaze, which was sold out EVERY NIGHT! Complete with sound effects, elaborate synchronized lighting and an all-original soundtrack by recording artist Richard Christy, this not-to-be-missed spectacle is the area's most innovative Halloween happening.”
