Harvey Cavalier Camp Open House Features Performance by Carol & Paul TV's The Magic Garden

Cavalier Camp to Celebrate “The Magic Garden” on April 8

The Harvey Cavalier Summer Camp has announced it will hold a special spring open house, Saturday, April 8, at The Harvey School and host a special performance of Carole and Paula of TV’s “The Magic Garden” at 1:30 p.m. in The Walker Center for the Arts on the school’s campus. The show will be followed by a Meet & Greet. Audience members are welcome to photos and autographs and may purchase Magic Garden souvenirs which will be personally autographed by Carole and Paula.

The open house will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when Cavalier Camp Director Vinny Alexander and his staff will be on hand to answer questions about the summer programs and provide tours of the 125-acre campus and its state-of-the-art facilities. Attendees will be treated to hot dogs, chips, beverages and other treats. The private, not-for-profit camp, which features arts, crafts, theater, dance, gymnastics, swimming, sports and ice skating, is a limited enrollment program for children entering pre-K through ninth grade in September 2017.

Alexander invites parents and their children to come early for hot dogs, chips, snacks and beverages and then stay and enjoy an intimate, lively performance of Carole and Paula of TV’s “The Magic Garden,” by the iconic show’s original creators and stars, Carole Demas and Paula Janis.

“We are thrilled to have Carole and Paula kick off their Magic Garden 45th Birthday Tour in Northern Westchester,” Alexander said. “And we are so very pleased to offer local parents and their children an afternoon of wholesome family fun for free,” he added. Earning high marks from educators and high ratings from Nielsen, “The Magic Garden” enjoyed a long run on WPIX-TV and affiliates. It featured a colorful garden setting where Carole and Paula brought stories, music, laughter and learning to several generations of children and their families with “…the most successful local show in the history of children’s television.” www.caroleandpaula.com
