Milford DPW Announces Bulk Trash Pick-Up Schedule

The Milford Department of Public Works has announced that its Spring bulk trash pick-up will occur earlier than usual this year. Pick-ups will be made on a rolling basis during the first three weeks of May. Your specific date for bulk trash pick-up is based upon which day of the week your weekly garbage collection occurs on.

  • If your garbage day is Monday, your bulk trash will be picked up May 1.
  • If your garbage day is Tuesday, your bulk items will be picked up May 8.
  • If your garbage day is Thursday, your bulk trash will be picked up May 15.
  • If your garbage day is Friday, your bulk trash will be picked up May 22.

Bulk-trash much be appropriately prepared for pick-up. Burnable items should be separated from metal. Wood scraps and brush must be cut into 4-foot lengths and tied in bundles. Yard waste should be bagged. Residents are reminded that their bulk trash should be placed at curbside NO EARLIER than the Saturday before their pick-up is scheduled to occur, in order to prevent what is often referred to as "Sanford and Son Syndrome"!
