We are fast approaching our second year of the ican Shine Bike Program. The first year was such a success because we had a great group of volunteers! This year we are looking for more volunteers to continue the program’s success rate.
This is a great way for high school students to get their community service hours. Last year we had volunteers associated with several sports teams in the area, Foran Basketball & Swimming, Notre Dame Football, Jonathan Law High School, Amity High School and Southern Connecticut State University.
The program is broken down into five 75 minute sessions from August 10, 2015 to August 14, 2015. We are only asking you to volunteer for one of the five sessions for the week. Most of the volunteers last year did two sessions back to back. The opportunity to work with the children in the program will be so rewarding you will never forget the experience.
