Local Company Supports Pajama Program (& many other local nonprofits)

"We are a very community based company and we want to give back," says Kelly Griggs, Marketing Specialist at William B. Meyer, Inc.

With locations in Stratford and Windsor CT, as well as Bedford, NY, William B. Meyer, Inc. family-owned single-source provider of transportation, storage and distribution services, makes it their mission to give back to the communities they serve. "It's something that people on our executive team and all of our employees get excited about and enjoy participating in," says Griggs.

As a philanthropic outreach effort for the holiday season, William B. Meyer, Inc. team collected books and PJ's for Pajama Program, a 501c3 that provides new pj's and new books to children in need, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. Yonkers native and founder, Genevieve Piturro, explains, "These children live in group homes, shelters and temporary housing facilities and are shuffled often from one place to another. Many of them have been abandoned, abused or neglected."

"We collected DOUBLE the books & pajama sets over last year for children in #Bridgeport #CT," William B. Meyer, Inc. Tweeted @WilliamBMeyer .

The William B. Meyer, Inc. Team helps their neighbors throughout the year by participating in or by hosting several additional charity events, including an Annual MEYER Holiday 5K, a company tradition that spans nearly two decades.
