Children 15 Years Old and Under Invited to Participate
Mayor Benjamin G. Blake announced today that the annual Children’s Snapper Derby will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Lisman Landing.
Fishing begins at 6:00 a.m. and weigh-ins will be done 7:30 a.m. to noon. Sponsored by the city of Milford and the Milford Sport Fishing Association, this event is open to any child 15 years old and under and there is no fee for participation.
Hot dogs and refreshments will be served at around noon and a free raffle will be held during the event.
Mayor Blake said, “This is a wonderful event for the children as well as their families and friends, and I look forward to seeing all the smiles this day brings. Thanks to the Milford Sport Fishing Association for the great job they do every year organizing this event.”
