Explore the Art and Culture of Korea at the Milford Library

Korea was once known as the “Land of the Morning Calm.”   This Korean Spirit and Culture Presentation is designed to provide a basic introduction to Korea’s long and rich artistic history, the spirit of its people, and its cultural values.

Milford Library is pleased to host this multi-media event on Sunday, October 4 at 12 noon.  While the Library is not open for regular service, this special Sunday presentation is open to all. The presentation will include: two short documentaries about Korea, illustrating the artistic and cultural achievements of Korea's past, and industrial achievements since the Korean War; a traditional Korean meal; and a re-enactment of a traditional Korean wedding ceremony in beautiful native costume.

The Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in September, 2005 to promote Korean history and culture to the wider world. This program is free and open to the public. Please call 203.783.3292 to register.
