Nite Spot Nights Brings Broadway to Downtown Milford this Saturday

Raissa and Kenneth celebrate the songs that have inspired and uplifted us for decades on Saturday, May 13th at the Center for the Arts in Downtown Milford (Milford Arts Council on Railroad Avenue) as part of the Nite Spot Nite series co-produced by MAC and Pantochino Productions.

The pair sing popular standards and show tunes by America’s greatest composers – Rogers & Hammerstein, Berlin, Sondheim and more – plus the best of a new generation of popular songwriters. Forget your troubles and just get happy with these two good friends, superb singer and musicians. Raissa and Kenneth are nominated for this year’s MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) for “Outstanding Duo Show”. You’ll think to yourself, “What a Wonderful World!!”

Raissa is best known for playing “Christine Daae” in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway, and for her leading roles in the First National Tours of CATS and PARADE. She is a multiple award winning headliner at Feinsteins, The Metropolitan Room and Laurie Beechman Theatre. These critically acclaimed appearances have made her one of NYC’s most sought after guest stars at many of Manhattan’s prestigious venues including: Town Hall, The Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, The Iridium, The Supper Club, The Rainbow Room, The Oak Room at the Algonquin and Radio City Music Hall.

“A tart-tongued commentator on modern life, her theatrical soprano is an effective vehicle for witty story telling.” - NY Times

Kenneth performed in the National Tour of THE MUSIC MAN. He has also performed internationally on a Live BBC Broadway of SIMPLY SONDHEIM and throughout Ireland in A NEW YORK SONGBOOK: WAY OFF BROADWAY. Kenneth has appeared as both a singer and a pianist in the countries finest concert halls. Gartman’s work in cabaret garnered nominations for Best Music Director and Best Male Debut in the 2012 Broadway World New York Cabaret Awards.

“The immensely talented Kenneth Gartman has the vocal power of a Broadway star with the nuance of a cabaret singer who knows how to connect with an audience in a smaller venue.” – Broadwayworld.com
