The DMBA to Host 16th Annual Lamplight Stroll

The Downtown Milford Business Association is hosting their 16th annual Lamplight Stroll and invites families, friends, and children of all ages to come enjoy a nostalgic holiday event.

Scheduled for Friday, December 1, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., the Lamplight Stroll is designed to bring members of the community together for an evening of festive yuletide fun. This unique holiday shopping experience features horse and buggy rides, carolers, a performance from the Cornerstone Christian Adult and Youth Choirs, and a visit from Santa himself. The 25 stops at participating business along the way will greet visitors enthusiastically with refreshments and holiday shopping specials.

“Downtown Milford is a storybook setting during the holidays,” said DMBA president Tracy Bonosconi. “We are proud to create an event that makes wonderful memories for members of our community and promotes the unique products and services our businesses offer.”

The DMBA’s mission is to bring attention to the downtown landscape and all the unique amenities it has to offer both residents and day visitors. Downtown Milford has enjoyed a resurgence of new shops, salons, and restaurants along with established local favorites. Located right on the harbor, the historic downtown is a destination long known by locals and surrounding communities for its New England charm and easy access to area beaches.

The Lamplight Stroll is scheduled from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday, December 1 and takes place across the downtown Milford business district. Participants can pick up a Lamplight Passport at the tree lighting in Milford this week, or at the hospitality tent located at 58 River Street on the day of the event.
